Antwerpen boekenstad

Elsschot and the sea, 2008

Writer Willem ELSSCHOT (1882–1960) lived and worked in Antwerp, but was half at home in Koksijde. He built his villa Kerkepanne on the dunes of St Idesbald and praised his favorite seaside resort in his books and letters.

This poster was made to announce various activities of Willem ELSSCHOT in Koksijde. Together with a guide you could follow the steps of Willem ELSSCHOT and discover the charm of the resort where the writer and his family spent the holidays in the early 1900s. The poster shows Willem ELSSCHOT and his wife Fien on the beach in St-Idesbald.
